Accusations Against “Forgiven Sins’ of Ministers in the Body of Christ

Hello friends,

I just wanted to share a few thoughts.

My heart goes out to ALL those affected and influenced by the wave of accusations against the ministries being named and highlighted in the media. Do I believe God is cleaning His house, yes I do. Do I believe it’s God’s will to be aired out in the media? No, I don’t! But- that is what is happening.

People have been hurt (in the past) and now people are being hurt by bad reports. I am only going to say that I dont believe God is going back 20 years to pull up old” forgiven” sins in order to clean house today. I believe the “accusational spirit” is running wild. I also look at people’s opinion of attending church… there are more ‘somebody done me wrong’ songs than a person can keep up with. And, sadly, very few praises coming from the ‘faithful’ that attend church. Where is their testimony? Where is their praise? Where is their stands to support those under fire?

But:

Look, throughout history things like this has been the standard way of doing things. Group mindsets get on a roll and soon you’re back to the crusades. So, my points is this: now what?

What’s for us to do?

For any of you who are getting nervous and scared because you’re feeling no one is safe… don’t give up. For those
of you training for the ministry, dont get nervous. Keep answering your call.
I’ve heard it said that’s not safe out there… that if
you go into the ministry somebody is going to tear your family apart. What I havent heard is that God will protect His own. Hear His voice and obey to the best you can and He’s got your back.

Trust Him!

Below is a short video by Rick Joyner about accusations and such. He starts off talking about Sadhu Sundar, but shortly after getting started (about 4 minutes or so) he begins to shift into the price of being an accuser.

Leadership. Set Your Face Firm

Repost: Anoint Your Face

Sparks:

The God-chosen leader is a “cannot” man in two ways.

Firstly, like Moses and Jeremiah, he will genuinely feel and confess, “I cannot”. But on the other hand, he will know that he cannot do otherwise, it is a divine compulsion, a fire in his bones, an urge and energy not of himself.

While he is on his job he may give the impression of personal strength, perhaps of efficiency, or even self-assurance, but he and God know the depth of his secret history, the overwhelming consciousness of need and dependence, the awareness of limitation, and the desolating realization of failure and weakness.

Leaders know deeper depths than any others and their battle with self-despair is more acute. Yet it is a part of their leadership and responsibility that they hide their own personal sufferings and sorrows. Like Ezekiel and Hosea they have to anoint their face and in the hour of deepest sorrow, go before the people “as at other times”. The troubles must not get into their voice or manner. If they do, their influence has gone, for, if people are going on to the greater fulnesses of Christ, the supreme virtue is courage, and it is this that a leader must inspire. His boldest times before men may be his times of deepest suffering before God. Leaders know that they are involved in the “impossible”, but — in spite of themselves — they are committed, and for them compromise is unthinkable.

He Will Guide You Into All Victory

He Will Guide You into All Victory

“Howbeit when He, the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of truth is come, He will guide you into all truth” (John 16:13).

All truth is another way of saying all victory. The Holy Spirit will never guide you into defeat! He will always guide you into victory, success, accomplishment, abundant life, soundness, happiness, and security–both in the spirit and in the natural. He’ll tell you what decisions to make in business so you won’t go broke every other month.

He’ll tell you who not to do business with so you can have peace of mind when you go home to kiss your wife and hug the kids. He’ll tell you whether your $20,000 investment is going to profit you or whether you’re going to lose it all. He’ll tell you what house to buy, when to buy it, and how much to pay! When the Holy Spirit is helping you, you’ll get a good deal, no matter what the real estate agents have to say about it!

The Holy Spirit will show you what to do in every circumstance of life. He will even show you where to have a nice vacation! Sometimes He will say, “No, don’t go there this year; go here instead.” That happened to me. I was going to visit some friends and take a little vacation, and the Holy Spirit said, “No, don’t go there at this time; it’s not right. Go some place else.” He didn’t tell me where to go. He just told me go somewhere else. I had a great vacation that year, too. I really enjoyed it. If I had disobeyed the Holy Spirit, I probably would have ended up in the middle of some difficulty. I didn’t ask the Holy Spirit why He wanted me to go somewhere else, because I really didn’t want to know. I just obeyed Him and had a good time.
