In His Service – IHS
The Lord is my all in all.
If I stopped right there, I would have said enough. But the truth is, He deserves more of a testimony from me than that. My whole life is a story of His faithfulness, mercy, and incredible patience—and I smile as I say that, because I know just how much He has walked with me.
✝️ The Early Years
I was born again in Christ Jesus in the 8th grade. From that moment until my high school graduation in 1975, I was filled with zeal and passionately evangelistic. Shortly after graduating, I answered the call to preach the gospel.
At the time, I was attending a Presbyterian church, but everything shifted when we invited a guest speaker from the charismatic branch of the Church. This visiting pastor discerned the call of God on my life, and shortly afterward, the presbytery of the church anointed me and sent me off to college for ministry training. That was the beginning—1975.
In 1976, while attending Montreat Anderson College in North Carolina, I was baptized in the Holy Spirit. I had the privilege of sitting under some of the greatest voices of the time. The college hosted conferences where I heard from leaders such as Kathryn Kuhlman, Bob Mumford, Richard Roberts, and Jamie Buckingham.
The Lord had truly placed me in a powerful environment for equipping. But after a powerful experience with the Holy Spirit that I did not yet understand, fear crept in. I became overwhelmed by the manifestation of God’s power and, not knowing how to process it, I withdrew. I left college.
💔 The Season of Distance
In time, I joined a Baptist church and made a conscious decision to distance myself from anything related to the gifts of the Spirit. I still loved the Lord deeply. I spent many years reading His Word, praying, and walking with Him as best I could—but I avoided anything that mentioned hearing God’s voice or flowing in the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
But through various life events, a holy desperation began to grow in me—a yearning to know Him more fully, and to surrender to Him entirely.
🔥 A Return to His Leading
In 1991, I rededicated my life to the Lord and committed to follow Him with all that I knew. I returned to college, earned my Bachelor’s degree in 1995, and completed my Master’s degree in 1997.
But the true turning point came in 1997, when I fully surrendered everything to Him. I began to seek the Holy Spirit and His ways once again.
And then, on March 2, 1998, my life changed dramatically. A new path opened. From that moment forward, I have walked with clarity, joy, and awe at the calling placed on my life. It is my honor to be His watchman… and His teacher.
🕊️ My Voice and Doctrine
When people ask me what I believe, I think of it this way:
If I could spend an afternoon sipping coffee and talking about the things of God with people who understand the times and carry His heart, it would be with voices like:
- Bobby Conner – a gentle giant and trusted prophet to the Body of Christ
- Rick Joyner – a seasoned visionary
- Kenneth Copeland – whose teachings on covenant have shaped much of my walk
- Mac Hammond – and many more who’ve been like companions along the way
These are people whose lives and words resonate with the work the Lord is doing in me and through this ministry.
