This Is What Leadership Looks Like Sometimes

If you’re called to lead — in ministry, business, or life — there will be days like this.

Today, the posting plan got bumped. I had legal work to prepare — an eviction. Not something anyone enjoys. The tenant had a pattern of being late, but usually paid around this time of year. This time, he pushed it too far. And when leadership said, “File the eviction,” that was it.

Here’s the part many people don’t understand:

Set Apart

I was set apart by God for His ministry even before I was born. Looking back, I can clearly see His supernatural hand on my life from a very young age.

One of my earliest encounters with the Lord happened when I was just five years old, playing outside. I didn’t understand what was happening at the time, but over the years—especially as I began to learn about the Lord—I came to realize that I had experienced an angelic visitation. There were no words, no message, just the presence of a mighty angel. I believe he has remained with me to this day. I remember pausing in my play, standing up and looking around as the atmosphere suddenly shifted. It was as though time stood still for a moment—but I didn’t yet know what it meant.
